Gentbrugge Communal Cemetery

History Information (Source: CWGC)

The British Expeditionary Force was involved in the later stages of the defence of Belgium following the German invasion in May 1940, and suffered many casualties in covering the withdrawal to Dunkirk.

The large Belgian pelouse d'honneur at Gentbrugge Communal Cemetery contains four Commonwealth burials of the Second World War. Enter the cemetery through the main entrance and follow the path to the T junction then turn left. Follow this path to the Belgian Military Plot and the war graves are found in the left hand plot as you look at the war memorial.
