Soupir Italian War Cemetery

Historical Information 

592 Italian soldiers First World War. In the center of the cemetery there are two bronze books, on each of them is an inscription engraved in Italian and in French relating to the exploits of Italian soldiers on French soil during the Great War.

In 1921, Italian women financed the construction of the monument in memory of all Italian fighters who died on French soil during the First World War. This monument is the work of sculptor Fernand Cian. In 2021, exhibition panels commemorating the Italians who fought in the municipality were inaugurated.
