Huldenberg Churchyard, Belgium - Remembrance ceremony.

A remembrance ceremony was held on Thursday 1st August 2019 at Huldenberg Churchyard for the  Wellington crew and in particular for Sergeant Mc Kee.  In the presence of his family.

 

Wellington bomber DV552:

On July 31, 1942 at 23.41 departed from Lichfield airbase, the Wellington DV552 the mission was a raid over the city of Düsseldorf in Germany. The aircraft was shot down over Belgium by German night-fighter Lt. Heinz-Wolfgang Schnaufer and crashed at 03.30 in Huldenberg. All six crew members lost their lives. They are all buried in this cemetery.
