Wittem (Cartils) Monument Royal Canadian Airforce Halifax LL243

The Halifax of 434 squadron crashed during the night of April 27 to 28, 1944. Four crew members were killed. The names of the four crew members who died are on the monument. One other crew member was captured, two others were able to escape with the help of the resistance.
