Wavrin Kriegsgräberstätte - German War Cemetery

History Information (Source: Volksbund)

975 German War graves of the First World War.

The German war cemetery Wavrin was created by the German troops in May 1915. Most of the dead from the hotly contested section of the front between Armentières and La Bassée in 1915 and the battles in spring 1917 were buried here. After the end of the war, the French military authorities embed other German war dead from neighboring communities.
