On Sunday 10 August 2025 a remembrance ceremony took place on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the retaliatory actions, carried out by the occupying forces on 1 and 11 August 1944, in which 4 fellow citizens were murdered on the spot and 63 of the 91 hostages died in the Neuengamme concentration camp and sub-camps.
