DORISSEN Jan-Frans,  Breendonk 11 April 1944 one of the 24 Partizans that were killed in Fort Breendonk on 11 April 1944.

Frans Dorissen was born in Sint-Truiden in 1900 and lives as a miner in Waterschei. In May 1941, he co-organized the major mine strike there. The strike is a success, but he himself is dismissed after the strike and thrown out of his house. From then on he can no longer find normal work and he lives with his family in a caravan for a while. On January 10, 1944, he was involved in the liquidation of the owners of Café Scherpenheuvel in Waterschei. He was arrested an hour later by Flemish Guards and handed over to the Sipo-SD. The five other executors are also quickly arrested.
