Took off 1918 23 Sept 1944 from Woodhall Spa to breach the Dortmund-Ems Kanal N of Münster at Ladbergen. Did not bomb and homebound its Tallboy withheld intercepted by a night-fighter whose cannon-fire knocked out three engines and started a blaze in the bomb-bay.
