London Cemetery & Extension,  France - Rededication Service.

On Tuesday 18th June 2019 at 10.00h a rededication service was held for Corporal Robert Owen Davies at London Cemetery Extension, France.

 

Corporal Davies served with the 10th Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers. He was killed on 20 July 1916 during an attack on Delville Wood. Recent research has identified his last resting place and CWGC is now able to mark his grave with a new headstone bearing his name.

 

The service has been organised by the Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre and attended by Defence Staff, Regimental representatives, CWGC staff and local dignitaries.
