Flushing (Vlissingen) Northern Cemetery

A special Allied section was given, during the First World War, to the Belgian society "Herdenken om te Strijden". This section is located to the west of the main entrance. It contains 35 First World War British burials (11 of which are unidentified) in two plots (either side of the Herdenken om te Strijden memorial) amongst Belgian and French war graves. Twenty-five of the British graves were brought in from other places of burial.

 

There are also 200 Commonwealth burials (24 of which are unidentified) of the Second World War in a separate section, which is located due south of the main entrance. This section contains a Cross of Sacrifice.
