Monday 4th May 2026 a ceremony took place for "Dodenherdenking".
This field of honor contains 1,230 graves of Dutch people who perished in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Furthermore, there are four memorial stones bearing the names of 485 Dutch war victims.
In memory of those who died in the concentration camps, there is a memorial column with the names of Auschwitz, Buchenwald, Grosz-Rosen, Lublin, Mittelbau, Ravensbrück, Sachsenhausen, Sobibor, Stutthof, Treblinka, and Warsaw.
