Langemark German War Cemetery, Belgium - Funeral service

Burial ceremony at the German war cemetery in Langemark, Belgium on October 4, 2025, at 4:30 p.m.

To date, over 44,000 German war dead from the First World War who fell during the Battle of Ypres in 1914 are buried at the Langemark war cemetery in Belgium.

Forty German soldiers, recovered from various locations in the Ypres area, will be buried during this ceremony. Their names remain unknown. Thanks go to the Ypres Golf Club, where over 20 of the fallen were recovered, as well as to the Belgian, British, and French partners who selflessly assisted in the recovery.
